Assembly Doctrines

The doctrines, spiritual objectives, and beliefs of 
"HIS PRESENCE"
a Christian Charismatic Assembly in South Charleston, WV

Doctrine.  We believe and teach "the Gospel of the Kingdom" as first revealed to Ancient Israel .  When God’s prophesied Son arrived on the scene, He continued teaching the details of the Father’s "3 Glory" Kingdom.  God’s generous redemption offer can be described as follows:  salvation thru Jesus / Yeshua...and then...the opportunity to avail ourselves of eternal riches and honor in the Kingdom of our loving & generous God...IF... we correctly respond to His Holy Spirit invitation, and attain to His approval.   See our 8.5"x14" charts:

The 5-Fold Settings & the Gifts of the Holy Spirit...given to the assembly that the Spirit-filled believers can become the "mature" people of God.  Eph 4:11-13,  2:18-20   These are God’s delegated leadership, and  the ‘activities’ of the Holy Spirit...given that we can be encouraged, directed, admonished, and healed, etc., as we pursue "the prize of the high invitation" Phil 3:14     

Responsibility Toward One Another.  We view Acts 2:42 as the 4 critical ‘assembly’ activities; ‘fellowship’ being the building of one another.   The scriptures teach that it is our expected  (and  joyful) duty to build one another in the faith, using whatever talents, spiritual insight, encounters with God, settings, and gifts, etc., that have been given to us.  We also have the responsibility to test all things: doctrine, revelation, and the Gifts and Settings claimed by any person... that we protect ourselves from all forms of deception, as we advance into the Father’s presence.    And, having stood...to remain standing...the final responsibility.

Scripture.  We view the scriptures, both OT & NT, as inspired by God.  We don’t emphasize the King James translation.  We view the Hebrew & Greek as the original, authoritative manuscripts.     

The Trinity.  God revealed Himself as a plurality in the Hebrew scriptures:  Gen 1:1,2, 26,  11:7,  Ex 23:20-23,  Job 33:4,  Ps 51:11,  139:7,  Prov 30:4,  Isaiah 6:8,  11:2,  48:12-16,  63:7-14.   In ‘the Shema’ (Deut 6:4): "...one" is ECHAD meaning a ‘compound’ one,  (not YACHID...an    ‘absolute’ one).   Yeshua / Jesus testified that the Father is greater than himself (John 14:28 ), and is the authority.  He stated that his earthly mission was to fulfill the Father’s "will" (plans & purposes)  with exactness: "the Father who sent me commanded me what to say, and how to say it".    John 12:49 NIV    See also: John 5:19, 20, 30, 36,  John 10:29, 36, 37,  and  John 14:9-11      

Worship.  We view worship (individual & group) as being our vocal adoration, praise, & heart-felt love given to The Father, His Holy Spirit, and His only-begotten Son, both in the way we pray and the worship songs that we sing.  We view the Father as the main recipient of our worship and love, but this in no way diminishes our eternal gratitude & love toward the Saviour and the Holy Spirit.         

Misc. Doctrines that we believe in:  the 2nd coming / return of Christ, the 1000 yr millennium, the 7yr tribulation & 3.5yr rein of anti-christ, 2 resurrections, tithes & offerings, eternal security of all inhabitants of God’s Kingdom after each believer has received immortality, and hell for all Christ rejecters.

Replacement Theology.  One of the many signs that we’re living in the end-times is the restoration of Israel & Jerusalem.  Ancient Israelites were God’s "elect" people.  They lost their land in 70 AD, & were scattered thru-out the world, but God’s plan was to return them, back to their rightful land, & into fellowship with Himself thru His Messiah Son: Yeshua.  Set-aside briefly, but never replaced.
